Lester's Records

There was once a barn called Lester's where a few people made music.
In Memory of Uncle Lester
To me, Uncle Lester will always be the mean bastard that used to charge kids in the neighborhood a nickel to record themselves saying dirty words into his record cutting machine fashioned out of old lawnmower parts.
He mostly spent his time with his chickens, which were named after generals of the War of 1812. My parents used to send me to the barn he lived in for over 30 years to see if he was still alive. He would throw tin cans at me until I left.
Uncle Lester died in a fire caused by his favorite electric blanket. His collection of homemade recordings was destroyed. Most of the chickens survived.
Lester's Records was founded in remembrance of Uncle Lester's DIY spirit. I would like to think that he's looking down on the work we do in his name with a smile, but I know it makes him roll in his grave. Take that, you mean old coot. I still have a tin can scar on my knee.
